TOPIC: LEADING YOUR CHILDREN TOCHRIST AND RIGHTEOUSNESS

TEXT: 2 Timothy 3: 14-15

Key verse: 2 John 1:4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

Our children are a heritage from the Lord. The children God gave to us should be our first responsibility to bring to Christ's salvation. If we are born again, then we must make frantic effort to do this. It is our duty to help them grow in holiness and righteousness. Parents should learn how to bring their children to Christ early in life.

See the example Grandmother Lois, mother Eunice and Timothy himself (2 Tim. 1:5). It is easier and more effective to train children from infancy than struggling to bend them when they are grown up. Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child
in the way he should grow, when he is old he shall not depart from it”.

Therefore, children training should begin very early:

i. From ages 0-5, psychology tells us that this is the personality formative years.
Use these years to mould the child into godly character and other moral values.

ii. Science has also proved that six weeks old baby in the womb can hear. So, speak God into your child in the womb, prophesy.

iii. It is the parents' responsibility. Emulate Abraham who received God's commendation for this in Genesis 18:19.

iv. It is in keeping with God's commandment (Deuteronomy 6:1-9, 4:9-10).

v. Our Lord Jesus received complete parental training from childhood (Luke 2:40-52). Training must include: Spiritual (God's word) Luke 2:40; Physical (skills and human values in the society, Jesus was subject to his parents Luke
2:51); Physical and social development feed the children well, Jesus grew in
wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man Luke 2:52.

vi. Things parents should not do to their children:
• Don't leave the training of your children to house helps
• Don't leave the training of your children to after-school lesson teachers, so that you remain in office till late in the evenings
• Don't leave the training of your children to Daycare homes its destructive.
• Don't leave the training of your children to Boarding Schools it is the breeding ground for the nurturing of all kinds of evil
• Don't lose your children to your work (office, business, pastoral/ministry work).
Don't be too busy to take care of God's heritage in your care.

Thought for the day: If you don't train your children, Satan will. Children are yoursure pension scheme give personal attention to their training.

Song for the day: All that concerns me is touching God…

Bible reading for the day: 1 Kings 21-22; John 3:1-21

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
