TOPIC: ATTRACTIONS OF THE BROADWAYARE ENTICING, DO NOT BE DECEIVEDBY THEM

TEXT: Matthew 4:1-11

Key verse: Act 8:20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, becausethou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

“Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.” This is how Jesus describes the broad way in
Matthew 7:13.

Not a few walk in it, but many. Many in the world, and indeed the church, are
walking the broad way to hell. This way pulls and draws a large crowd for a number of reasons:
(i) It is an easy way … people hate challenges
(ii) It is a convenient way … people want comfort
(iii) It is a compromising way … Peoplei don't want to be criticized as being the odd man out(Holiness It is the way of survival of the fittest … people are naturally selfish and unwilling to sacrifice for others.
This explains the increase of wickedness in the world today.

Apostle Paul wrote about it in his epistle to Timothy.
2 Timothy 3:1-7;
1.This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2.For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3.Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4.Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5.Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6.For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7.Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

(i). Crime, abomination and wickedness are on the increase
(ii). Homosexuality, lesbianism, masturbation, and pornography are now common practice
(iii). Defilement of the body through tattoo, skin bleaching, and indecent dressing are freely done in the name of fashion
(iv). Stealing, corruption and defrauding innocent people are now an acceptable way of survival.
People's usual refrain is, “it does not matter, everybody does it.” But the truth is that you are not “everybody.” You are a chosen generation, so you must be different.

Thought for the day: All that glitters is not gold. Resist the tempting offer of Satan.

Song for the day: I will never go back to the world anymore.

Bible reading for the day:
1Kings 16-18; John 1:29-51

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
