TOPIC: IT IS THE FOOLISH FLY THAT FOLLOWSTHE CORPSE INTO THE GRAVE
TEXT: 2Peter 2:4-9
Key verse: Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in likemanner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are setforth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
What is your covenant with Satan? Why follow him to hell? Satan's destination is eternal fire. Eternal means forever! Have you considered this? The judgement of God is eternal. There are many examples of God's eternal judgement as we read in today's bible reading (2 Peter 2:4-9). The unjust, the ungodly and the wicked shall all face the judgment of God. God prepared hell for Satan and his demons who originated evil. They brought nations to idolatry, bringing various religions to different people, tribes and nations. Satan is going around spreading every kind of sin, bringing all kinds of alcohol, bringing all kinds of games of unrighteousness, turning many people to ungodliness. Sons of men who refuse to repent of these abominations will become the chaffs of life. They shall go with Satan.
You think Satan has no value to God? If he has no value he would have been in hell, but God allows him to try you so that He can know if you are genuine or fake. God wants to know if you are a valuable substance or a chaff.
You say, the man tempted me. You are not the only one. You say, the man hit me first. You are not the only one. It is part of God's purpose that you should be tried. It is part of God's purpose that Satan should tempt you. That's why you are in the world. If you follow the Bible, Satan cannot win. If you don't follow the Bible; if you reject the Bible which is the Sword of the Spirit, you have broken the hedge, so the serpent will bite you.
Those who stay outside the gate are the dogs; those practicing witchcraft. God allowed it to happen to see if you will repent or not, or whether you are a chaff or something of substance. He wants to know if you will be going with Satan to hell; otherwise, you would have cried out for help and sought the salvation of God. God allowed you to be where you are because God Himself is testing His creation. He is proving His creation. He said, take all those ten thousand men to the water I'm going to test them to know who shall come out and go for the battle and who shall opt out and be excused. The Lord is testing people to know who is prepared for heaven and who prefers to join Satan in hell. That is why Satan is doing his work in your life; in your family, and also doing his work in your ministry. God allowed him to bring out chaff out of his creation.
Thought for the day: God is proving you. Make sure you pass the test.
