TOPIC: ATTRIBUTES OF GOD IN PRAYER

TEXT: Philippians 4:6-7

Key verse: Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great
and mighty things, which thou knowest not

Since God is holy, if there is something outside His holiness in your life, God will not go with you. It means you must take the holiness part of God seriously when you pray. God has some attributes in prayer that determines whether or not he answers your prayer. Here are some of His attributes in prayer for your guidance:

1. He Is A God That Answers Prayers. By His nature, God loves answering prayers. When you don't pray you want to render an attribute of God redundant. So, pray constantly and He will answer you. Psalm 65:2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. Also, Psalm 145:18-19 says, 18. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. 19. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

2. He Expects You To Ask For Your Need In Prayer. Even though God knows what you need, He still expects you to ask in prayer. Not to ask is not to receive. John 16:23-24; 23. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

3. You Must Forgive To Receive Answer To Your Prayer. If you fail to forgive your offenders, you hinder God from listening to you. Only to the merciful will God also show mercy. Matthew 6:14-15; 14. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15. But if ye forgive not men their
trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

4. Sin Will Hinder Your Prayer. To habour sin in your heart and go before God in prayer is like water mixed with petrol in a car tank. Your prayer will not penetrate heaven. Psalm 24:3-5; 3. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4. He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath
not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

5. God Answers Prayer In His Own Time. Another attribute of God in prayer is that He cannot be hurried. Learn to be patient. Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Thought for the day: Pray right to receive from God.

Song for the day: O yes he answers prayer.

Bible reading for the day: 1 Chronicles 14-16; John 9:24-41

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
