TOPIC: MAKE LOVE THE PILLAR OF YOUR MARRIAGE

TEXT: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Key verse: Ecclesiastes 9:9 Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the daysof the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.

Some get married but love was not involved. Some were charmed to get married and their eyes later opened when the charm wears off. Forgive the past and ask God to fill you with love for her or him so that you may not act sinfully against your spouse. The God of love is able to do that and replace the hatred in your heart with love. Some get married for money. The power of money is not strong enough to sustain the bond of friendship in marriage. When money goes as it sometimes happen, the desire to remain in marriage wanes. Get satisfaction in your spouse above riches, fame, popularity, position, power and even children because your children will not live with you for life. Don't trouble your wife or hate your husband otherwise, you hate yourself and fight with your shadow. Ephesians 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Malachi 2:14-16 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. [15] And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one?
That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. [16] For the Lord , the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

God was a witness to your marriage and he faithfully keeps record of each person's performance in marriage. When you made your marriage vows at the altar he was there. When you made those sweet promises to her or to him on the bed he was there. When you promised to love her forever, God was there! Now that you have married, God is saying you should not oppress your spouse and that he hates putting away. You must forgive your spouse no matter the offence in the spirit of love you professed in time past. Woman, you must not keep grudge against your husband. The wife or husband of your youth must remain your partner in old age for as long as he or she lives. If your spouse voluntarily decides to go, you have not sinned by yielding but you cannot marry another while he or she is still alive.

Thought for the day: Marriage built on love is like a house built on rock.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
