TOPIC: DO NOT SUCCUMB TO THE COMPELLING INFLUENCE OF THE WORLD

TEXT: 1 John 2:15-17

Key verse: John17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

The Society is not a good teacher because it has lost its moral value. Ecclesiastes 7:29; Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions. There is so much perverseness among men that they see what is wrong as right and promote iniquity above righteousness. God frowns seriously at such moral debasement. Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. This explains why women now practically dress half naked in the name of fashion and majority see nothing wrong with it.

Politicians who steal public funds are celebrated and they even draw large crowd of sympathizers in the court when prosecuted. It is such negative influence of the majority that now make people to engage in all kinds of evil, thinking it is the right way to live.

• While God seeks obedience, majority seek convenience
• While God seeks the truth, majority love lies
• While God dwells in the light, majority love the deeds of darkness
• While God seeks patience, majority want quick result
• While God focuses on the future, majority seek immediate benefit
• While God seeks righteousness in all dealings, to the majority, the end justifies the means.

It is the negative influence of the majority that leads people into error. Sin is no longer seen as sin and very few people accept the possibility of living a pure and holy life.

• Workers steal from their employers because they see others stealing
• Children lie because they see their parents lying to each other
• Students cheat in exam hall because it is the norm in the school
• Husbands cheat on their wives because it is the vogue among men.

Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
Jesus is the only true friend you have, listen to Him and follow Him.

Thought for the day: Listen to the Spirit of Jesus and follow Him even if you have to stand alone.

Song for the day :Where He leads me I will follow…

Bible reading for the day:
1Kings 3-5; Luke 23:1-26

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
