TOPIC: SCRIPTURAL PROOF FOR ACCEPTING A REVELATION

TEXT: JEREMIAH 28:1-17

Key verse: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether theyare of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world” 1 John 4:1

Do not believe everyone or don't always believe your dream. Ensure it is true, just and of good report. A pastor saw a bright light in his room while he was praying and he was almost bowing down to worship but a voice came
from heaven saying he should ask who he is, and when he did Satan manifested himself.

(i) Examine it to be true, is it honest or something has interfered with it? Is there
a good report? Not that you want to sell somebody for your name to be praised. If there be any praise, the name of God will be exalted.

(ii) It must be consistent with the message of the whole scriptures (Gal 1:8-9). The writers of the bible wrote at different times and all their messages were consistent with one another.

(iii) Anybody is free to prophesy but it must be proved. If proved to be scriptural, then hold fast to it.

(iv). Let the prophets speak two or three at a time and let the others judge.

(v) Relate it to other circumstances, if it differs reject it.

(vi). Write the prophesy down so that in times to come if it is not fulfilled, then discard it.

(vii)The message must not be contrary to the scripture. God cannot contradict Himself. God is not the author of confusion.

(viii) It must centre on Jesus.

(ix) The purpose should be for the salvation of souls, edification and comfort to believers.

(x) If proved not to be from God then discard it.

(xi) Don't rush to accept testimony from a witch or demon-possessed person delivered from Satan, pride and lies will eventually fill everywhere. When Jesus came near the man possessed with demon. He commanded them to be quiet and come out of him. Jesus did not allow Satan to bring revelation about Him (Jesus) because Satan is a liar, beginning with truth but will bring lies to corrupt believers.

(xii) If the message is proved to be from God, then it must be obeyed.
Remember, the scriptures say quench not the spirit.

Thought for the day: Test all spirit, hold fast to that which is true.

Song for the day: Open my eyes, oh Lord, halleluiah (3x) I am ready to obey.

Bible reading for the day: 1 Kings 14-15; John 1:1-28.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
