GOD USES YOU AS YOU PRESENT YOURSELF
May Wednesday 23rd
Text: 2 Timothy 2:19-22
Key Verse: Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

In every home there are different kinds of utensils and plates. Some are reserved for use on special occasions, maybe to serve daddy in the house or important visitors. Such plates are preserved in safe places and well taken care of. They are of great value to the household. Others are reserved for common uses such as plates used to feed dogs and those used for waste materials. Those that are put to common uses do not receive special care and attention. If they get damaged you don't bother much.

There are ministers that God puts to honourable use. They are like gold, silver and precious stones. They are of great value to God. But there are also those that God puts to dishonourable use. To idolatrous Pharaoh God said, “Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.” So, you find both kinds of vessel operating side by side in the service of God. Both are prophets, teachers, preachers, but God classifies them differently. God uses them as they present themselves. The holy ones are put to honourable uses whereas the wicked ones are used for dishonourable purposes.

Angels don't put on smiles when dishonourable vessels go out to minister. God is still gracious to them, feeding them, caring for them, still giving them the grace to preach, but God is not happy with them. For God’s wisdom did not allow the Israelites to possess the land all at a time. The farm owner did not pull out the weeds until harvest. They are still thriving just as Satan is still thriving until judgment day. The matter rests with you whether you want to be a vessel unto honour or dishonour. Nobody is eternally predestined to corruption. Neither is anybody eternally predestined for heaven. It is your choice. Unholy ministers are lower level ministers. Jesus does not reckon with them. Jesus only rejoices at righteous ministers. He said concerning Job, Have you seen my servant Job that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? How many ministers can God say this about in spite of their celebrity status?

Thought for the day: As you lay your bed, so you shall lie on it.
Song for the day: I want to be like Jesus
Bible reading for the day: 1 Chronicles 8-10; John 8:37-59

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
