KNOW THE GOD YOU ARE SERVING – PART 2
May Monday 21st
Text: Romans 10:1-4
Key Verse: Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Idol worshippers seem wiser than children of light. They tend to have a better knowledge and understanding of their gods than the worshippers of the true God. Jesus said, “The children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.” Luke 16:8. Even though they serve a god that cannot save; a god that has eyes but cannot see; a god that has legs but cannot walk, yet they never compromise on the rules of worship. Where their god demands palm wine for libation they never offer Fanta or Coke as drink. They never offer abominations to their gods. It is not so with the children of light. Jesus says in Matthew 15:8-9 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. No wonder, as the church is growing sinners are also growing. What a paradox!

God desires that you know Him fully. The greatest delight of God is not in your riches or anointing. The greatest delight of God is not in your offering or tithe or worship. The greatest delight of God is in your knowing and understanding Him. Jeremiah 9:23-24 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: 24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. To fully know God may require a second touch. Many only know God at the realm of grace, not His judgment. Many know God at the realm of love for sinners, not His hatred for sin. Many only know God at the realm of how to become saved, not how to remain saved. They have not graduated from elementary knowledge of God to the secondary level. They know a bit of God, by not much. They know the truth of God, but not all. They see the way of God, but not clearly like the blind man in Mark 8:22-25. This is why you may need a second touch to see the truth of the scriptures clearly and be saved like Nicodemus (John 3), like Cornelius (Acts 10), like the Ethiopian Eunuch (Acts 8:26-31).

Thought for the day: Knowing God is more than praying in the name of Jesus.
Song for the day: I want to know you more and more JESUS
Bible reading for the day: 1 Chronicles 3-5; John 8:1-20

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
