Text: Colossians 2: 6 - 10
Key verse: Colossians 2:9 “For in Him dwelleth the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
There are Bible commentators that claim to have mastered the Bible. Some have produced their own versions, such as Christ Embassy, Jehovah’s witnesses and Roman Catholics. When it comes to the verses where earrings and jewelries are mentioned they say it was in the ancient times. They formulate stories that are not true to deceive people and remove them from righteousness. Their students take it that way because doctor so and so who was the principal of this seminary in the eighteenth century, said so. They leave the bible and are reading fables. They bring forth fruits after their kind and so they have corrupt apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers who perpetrate falsehood; false doctrines that have weakened the church of Christ and put it in a dead or lukewarm condition. The church in Sardis, had a name that they lived but were dead. That is the condition of many churches now because there is no righteousness; no single person is born again there because they do not preach the true word that saves. 
Recently, the Bishop next to the General overseer of Living Faith said, “People are saying that we do not preach about the rapture, about heaven, about hell … Yes, we do not preach about hell because we are not commanded to preach it. We believe it but we have not been commanded to preach it. Must we preach everything in the Bible?” You may think that he is not telling the truth; did Satan command them to preach it? Was he making reference to the living God as the person that sent them? So why do you think that he is not telling the truth. Jesus said, “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” ... but since you are not of God, Satan did not command you to preach it. But see the crowd of people they have caged in a church where God is not present. They are not under Jesus that is why they cannot preach righteousness and holiness. They were not commanded to preach the doctrines of holiness although they profess that they believe them. Deception!
