TOPIC: WALK AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT

TEXT: Ephesians 5:8-14

Key verse: 2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who
commanded the light to shine out of
darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory ofGod in the face of Jesus Christ.

Spiritually, light represents life and darkness represents death. Jesus is the light of the world and eternal life. John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. He came into the world as the light of men in order to give them
eternal life. John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
When He departed the world, He did not leave the world in total darkness. He left behind his own seeds that they may continue to shine His light on the world and lead many to eternal life. Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Jesus manifested his light for all to see.

Even his enemies could not convict Him of sin. Matthew 22:16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. What is the testimony of God about you? What is the testimony of men about you? Beyond saying I am a Christian, your life should be a shining light in the dark world and not part of the darkness. Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Let your life bring glory to the name of God, not shame or reproach. Sin in the life of a Christian is like spilled liquid of gall bladder in a basin of meat. It is no longer good for consumption. A sinful Christian is of little or no value to God. He can only be useful in the hands of Satan and wicked men for evil purposes. God may be using you but He is only managing you like a bad extra (spare) tyre before He gets a suitable replacement. You cannot last long with Him unless you change your ways. As a child of light, hate sin and love righteousness.
Avoid murmuring, grumbling and backbiting. Be humble and compassionate.
Fear God and love every man. Have nothing to do with the evil deeds of darkness. Let your light draw sinners to Christ. Resist Satan and worldly lusts. Be a shining example to all around you as an epitome of holiness.

Thought for the day: Let your light make a difference in your world.

Song for the day: When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word.

Bible reading for the day: 2 Chronicles 13-16; John 14.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
