PRESERVING YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS – PART 2
JUNE Saturday 16th
TEXT: 2 PETER 1:8-11

Key Verse: 2 Peter 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is a continuation of yesterday’s message.

LIVE BY THE WORD OF GOD. The energy to stand firm and determined is gotten through the word of God (Psalm 119:9-11). John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. People are practicing Christianity outside the bible. Handset, Facebook, Whatsapp, TV, football have taken first place instead of the word of God

BE PRAYERFUL. One of the attributes of God is that He answers prayer. Psalm 65:2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. You need prayers to preserve your righteousness and holiness. Why are you grumbling when you have not asked from God? John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. Stop murmuring. Stop complaining. Use prayer to defeat your enemy. Philippians 4:6-7
Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Refuse to accept defeat. Stop crying. Cry unto God instead, He will deliver you. Psalm 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Have you misbehaved? Go to God in prayer. He is a merciful God. He forgave the thief on His right-hand side at the eleventh hour; He will forgive you. Psalm 86:5-8 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. [6] Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. [7] In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. [8] Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

HAVE FAITH IN GOD (Heb. 11:1-3, 6). The faithless is godless. The just shall live by faith. Faith will kill fear. Faith will put your mind at rest and give you peace.

FELLOWSHIP WITH THE BRETHREN. Hebrews 10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Two are better than one. Fellowship of believers is a source of strength and edification to keep you steady on this tortuous Christian journey.

Thought for the day: The Christian race is not a sprint. You need stamina to finish it.
Song for the day: Give me grace to follow, abundant grace
Bible reading for the day: Nehemiah 1-3; Acts 2:1-13

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
