REASONS FOR COMPLETE TRUST IN GOD TUESDAY FEBRUARY 6
TEXT: PSALM 23: 1-6
Key verse: “O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.” Psalm 84: 12

The scriptures advance so many reasons why we should put our trust completely in God. An examination of the lives of saints of old time and in our present time also will tell you many of the reasons why you should trust God: It is God’s instruction and command to all men. Not to do so is a sin, it is unbelief and unbelief is sin. So, totally yield to this command; (a). Our own understanding cannot successfully direct our ways. In Proverbs 3: 5, in all thy ways, in all your ways, don’t lean on your own understanding. Your own understanding cannot lead. Don’t depend on your power. Don’t lean on your wisdom. Don't lean on your intellect; (b). Trust in men and princes is fruitless. Direct your trust and confidence to God. God is saying, you have been putting confidence in the things I created, put confidence in Me the Creator; (c). Our labours are in vain without God. The Bible says the battle is not for the strong, the race is not for the swift. As swift as you are, you are strong, you have resources but advancement in life is not based on those things. It is based on God; (d). Our duties are in vain without God. Except the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain. Except your ways are committed unto God to take care of the progress you are making, your progress is temporal. It is not an enduring one; (e). Our success and promotion comes from God alone. He is the One to lift you up. Be informed, that man has no power to promote you. Promotion comes from God. The promotion of man is a lie. The promotion of man is a deceit. The promotion of man is a temptation to sin and wickedness. Promotion comes from God. Fear God, trust in Him and believe in Him; (f). It is required when salvation is delayed or denied for the righteous. Who is among you that is righteous but hardship is still covering you? You are righteous but adversity is still covering you. Remain in that adversity with total trust in God; (g). It is the only way to please God and receive earthly and eternal rewards. The way of trust is the only way to please God in your life. It is good that a man should both hope and wait patiently for God; (h). It is because without Jesus we cannot make any way. Without Jesus we cannot perform. Without Jesus we cannot make any progress. Our ministry will not prosper without Him. Our service will not yield fruit without Him.
