DISCERNING FALSE PROPHETS, PROPHECY AND REVELATION  TUESDAY FEBRUARY 20
TEXT: 2 TIMOTHY 3: 16-17
Key verse: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world” 1 John 4:1

The Bible is a complete word of God and is profitable for teaching, correction and edification.
The Holy Spirit communicates God’s word to us in various forms, through dreams, vision, and divine revelation or through another person. In Acts 16:6-8 Paul and his friends had clear vision not to go to or preach in certain places. In Troas, Paul saw a man asking them to go to Macedonia. Jesus talked of the Holy Spirit showing the mystery of God or edifying Jesus. Any revelation proved to be from God should be obeyed the same way the scripture. When such message comes, don’t fear man but give it the way God gave it. Joseph gave the interpretation of the word of God to two servants of Pharaoh in the prison: To one, it was message of restoration but to the other it was a message of eminent death and he gave it as it came without fear. However every prophesy must be examined and if you are not sure pray, check it up to ensure it did not stand on its own. Many people who claimed to have received messages from God did not really received it from God. It came from their imagination or other spirit. If a man comes to a woman and said the Lord says you should be my wife, the woman must pray. Satan can directly or indirectly interfere with a person to achieve his lie. People go to Satan’s agent to wash their faces to see beyond normal life of a person and they begin to tell you of your money in the pocket or bank. A person confessed his link with the demons was through his handset. The demon will sent a text message and he will then read it out by saying so, so and so person with the information is here, and someone will say it is me pastor; by this they defraud many innocent or unlearned people. Many of them are liars, feigning it to get money for survival. Some of them passed relevant information to their guest speakers who will try to identify and let the person believe that they are speaking from the Holy Spirit. Jeremiah 23:25-27. The end of such person will be too terrible therefore let such person repent.

Thought for the day: Examine every revelation; hold fast that which is true.
Song for the day:  I want to be like Daniel (3x) to follow Jesus Christ.
Bible reading for the day:
Numbers 3-4; Mark 3:22-35

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
