LOVE AND HOLINESS IN THE BODY. SATURDAY DECEMBER 23
TEXT: 1 JOHN 3:14 – 16
Key Verse “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently. 1 Peter 1:22
Satan is bent on carrying everybody to hell and so he uses all subtlety; enemy of righteousness. Satan knows with the conviction of holiness, sexual immorality will not work so he devices so many vices- pride, envy. Any loophole is capitalized by Satan. You must love your brethren unconditionally. Hatred may be encouraged by the devil, hatred is as a sin of murder so even sinners love them, love other coordinators / brethren. Love even our persecutors- John Wesley had a hard wife who held his hair to pluck it off but he followed her about so that it will not be plucked off and yet no hatred in him.
Ephesians 4:3-7 “3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ” We must see ourselves as one
Ezekiel 36:24-26; 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh”
Thought for the day: Avoid hatred so that God will not judge you.
