RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS IS POSSIBLE. FRIDAY DECEMBER 22
TEXT: LUKE 1:74-75; JOHN 4:22-24
Key verse: “Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe”. I Thessalonians 2:10
God wants to enrol those who will know the truth of God. The condition of the church is that they know not what they worship as a result they are busy doing different things in the churches. Righteousness and Holiness is possible, if not our God will not be telling us about it. All we need is to avail ourselves and God will transform our hearts and give us boldness, power to overcome sin. God is looking for ministers and workers who will serve him in holiness. Some Ministers thought it is not possible to live holy lives, but God is saying it is possible. Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide is saying that as a minister, we should live by example, be ye minister, Sunday school teachers, ushers, you don’t lie or say what God did not tell you to say. Don’t do this work with sin. Don’t finger the children under you as Sunday school teachers or as ushers, you are not helping yourselves with the offering or engaging in any evil. That whatever capacity of service in the house of God, do it cheerfully without murmuring, bitterness and anger. The LORD shall restore righteousness to you in Jesus name. Be ye clean: How can God enrol you as the end time revival minister when your life is in a mess? The Lord says the foundation of God standeth sure and the Lord Knoweth him that is his, and that let all that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Practice Holiness and Righteousness before God and men. 2 Corinthians.5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” Righteousness has two meanings: acceptance of one by God. You believed and He received you as a friend. Holiness is the life one lives without committing sin. In other words, it is obeying the way or instruction of that person without deviating from it. It is your lifestyle. Holiness and righteousness comes to mean the same thing where you are seen in doing what you are required to do without disconnecting yourself from him every time. No day you will break his commandment or say you will rest: is it possible? I Thessalonians 2:10 “Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe”. Paul testified this as an example that they were able to do so before men and God. Therefore do not lie. Paul says do we continue in sin that grace may abound? He also responded God forbid! If you are faithful and do it right, nobody will complain about you. The world had disappointed our God and this must stop. Acts 23:1“And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day”. Let your conscience not only judge you before God but also before man without blame.
Thought for the day: If you are faithful and do it right, nobody will complain about you.
