MARRIAGE IS SACRED     SATURDAY DECEMBER 2
TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 7:3-5
Memory verse:
Marriage is God ordained institution and therefore must be held sacred. Believers, church leaders and the clergy must see marriage as a holy thing and should not be handled with carelessness because marriage is one of the strong pillars of the Christian doctrine. Marriage should be well presented and well understood before going into it by intending couples. The family unit is the smallest number that constitutes the Church known as the Body of Christ and the society at large. Therefore constant prayer, caution and care must be taken that this small member of the Church which came as a result of marriage is not destroyed. Peace in the marriage is peace in the Church. Blessing in the family is blessing in the Church. So the man who is the husband, father and head of the family should follow Biblical principles for marriage not the traditional principles to rule his home. And the woman who is the wife and mother must also follow suit to assist in administering the family in her marriage to the well being of her husband, children and members of her household. And the children see that they reverence their parents in the Lord.
Obedience to God’s words in marriage brings benefits as follows-: Children are brought under subjection not wayward; there is family promotion not retardation; increase not decrease; Hope in life not depression; an example of the believers in Christian marriage not a reproach. That is as an epistle to the world, the neighbours, friends, and colleagues. This good example is not for the benefit of others only who see us but for our souls’ sake, because our souls in the marriage could be lost and face eternal damnation. He who made and instituted marriage demands obedience to this commandment the foundation to every good marriage is marrying in Christ. For every solid building depends on its foundation so is every good marriage and a Christian home. It is through marriage that the law of multiplication, dominion and fruitfulness can be achieved –that marriage must fulfil the will and purpose of God through Christ.
Thought for the day: Three vital guiding principles: For God’s sake; for your soul’s sake; and for heaven’s sake.
Song for the day: Jesus in the family, happy happy home…

Bible reading for the day: Ezekiel 47-48; 1 John 1

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
