BELIEVERS’ OUTWARD HOLINESS.  THURSDAY DECEMBER 14
TEXT:  1 PETER 1: 14-17
Key Verse: “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” 2 Cori 7:1.
God is holy and when you become His child through repentance from sin and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ He desires you to perfect holiness inwardly and outwardly. Outward holiness is only completing the inward holiness to come to total holiness demanded by God of a believer. Holiness in the outward appearance is dressing in a way that is not contrary to the word of God that does not seek self-glory, that does not seek self as a stumbling block to others. Such ungodly dressing is used by harlots to seduce men to lust and or to actual sexual immorality (Proverbs 7:10-20). Such attires include use of trouser by women, mini and split skirt/dress, tight fitting skirt/dress, body hug by both men and women, short sleeve or sleeveless clothes, short dress, body revealing blouses, tight fitting shirt or trouser for men, strange haircut and some boys that dress in way that reveal their underwear. If a person is not born again, not righteous in his heart or cleansed, this message does not actually apply to them, although they can act in this way for a decent life, however, it does not mean anything to their eternal life. But for you, a child of God, we want to make you spotless before the Lord as such is the aim of the Lord. God has a vision of a perfect Christian and a perfect Church because the one He will present to Himself in heaven is a perfect and holy (Ephesians 5:27).
Outward dressing and adornment of a believer must be holy, for God is holy, and as a perfect light He can detect the smallest error, smallest uncleanness or smallest spot in the life of a man, in the life of a woman. The teaching of the word is to remove these spots, to correct your life from these errors. There are many ways men and women clothe and adorn themselves that are offence to God. Many people say that God looks at the heart and not the body. They quote what the Lord told Samuel when He asked Samuel to go and anoint one of Jesse’s sons to be king in Israel. Samuel looked at the physic and the size of Eliab and said surely the Lord’s anointed is before him, because King Saul was a great huge man. So, Samuel saw Eliab in that way and believed Eliab can replace Saul but the Lord says no (1 Samuel 16:1-7). God looks not on the outward appearance but to the heart in terms of service. Divine choice of service should not be after the pattern of the size of a man but the heart, for it is the heart that does the work. But holiness is for entrance into heaven and it includes holiness inside and holiness outside.
Thought for the day: The devil designed these ungodly clothes for the pollution of men and the Church.
Song for the day:  There is a great change since I am born again.
Bible reading for the day:
Amos 1-3; Revelation 5

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
