TOPIC: HUSBAND AND WIFE IN MINISTRY.  MONDAY AUGUST 28
TEXT: Acts 18: 24 – 28
KEY VERSE:  And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Genesis 2:18.

Our key verse says God made the woman a suitable helper for man. A man with a teaching ministry who has brought up his wife in a good understanding of scripture, do no wrong to God to make his wife teach along with him in ministry. When the husband is doing the work of God, the woman is not to fold her arms and say I am just a woman. She is to help him in whatever way she can. The husband drives the car often, the woman also can learn to drive so that when he is weak or something keeps him away from driving, the woman takes over to help him keep the journey in progress.

There are many men of God today who have made success in the gospel ministry through employing the help of their wives in the ministry. Any woman that may function in the Christian ministry of her husband must be born again and humble in spirit. She must not usurp the authority of her husband in the ministry. She must maintain her gifts and calling.

1 Corinthians 9:5 Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

There are some ministers who use the above scripture to invite a single sister or a married sister to go with them for ministry in other places. However, what Paul is saying in this scripture is that Peter, James and Jude were married and went about with their wives to play their roles along side with them in the ministry. If you are a woman, a man is inviting you to go with him to a crusade, would you agree to go with him all because he is your pastor? Are you his wife? You should know you are going with him for immorality. God respects decency. That is why wisdom must be exercised in ministry when dealing with the opposite sex. Care and caution must be taken, otherwise you will become ministers of Satan. Let no woman allow herself to be abused because of ministry. Let the pastor go for that crusade with his wife and not a sister, except it is group outreach involving many. Let not your zeal in ministry be evil spoken of, neither give the devil a place. If the pastor’s wife is not a believer or is indisposed, he must seek the face of God and counsel from true servants of God for companionship in ministry.

Thought for the day:   What God has joined together, let no man put asunder.
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 136-138; 1 Corinthians 9

Signs And Wonders Should Be According To Biblical Pattern

God's blessings shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Signs And Wonders Should Be According To Biblical Pattern Text: Mark 16: 17 – 20 Wednesday May 8th Key verse: Obadiah 17 “Upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” God has prepared to direct us on holy service unto Himself. He tells us when the lives and services of people are corrupt because from the heart of men proceed the works they do. When people are righteous and holy, their service is also righteous and holy. Hence, the word says, make the people holy then their service will be holy, so if you accept to live a life of holiness, then the fruit of your service will be holy. So, it is very important to accept the life of holiness because the God that made you is holy; He will give you grace to be holy. You just make up your mind to be holy. Do not accept that no man can be holy; then Jesus came for nothing, Jes...
REMAIN BLESSED AS YOU TAKE YOUR TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD AMEN. PRAY CONSTANTLY                                                                      FRIDAY 11 MARCH TEXT: Luke 18: 1-7 Key verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Pray without ceasing. I wish My children, whilst upon earth, to live more and more with Me in “the heavenly places”. Here, there is no fear or hurry or fret of spirit. I am gratified when you wait upon Me –which waiting I always honour. My thoughts, as you wait upon Me, are impressed upon you: all that I am must be increasingly absorbed by you. It is as you wait upon Me that I give to you that sense of calm assurance which you must carry about with you always. It comes from knowing that everything you have committed to Me is being surely worked out. Yes, immerse yourself in Me –and do ...
