TOPIC:    THE DRESSING AND ADORNMENT OF THE GODLY WOMAN.  TUESDAY AUGUST 8
TEXT:       1 Peter 3:1-6
KEY VERSE:     1 Timothy 2:9

When someone desires to commit her life to the Lord Jesus, to serve Him in truth, righteousness and holiness, such decision normally goes with change of dressing and adornment, from corrupt manner to the godly manner.

Genesis 35:1-4
1  And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:
3 And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.
4 And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.

God is holy and would not condone dresses that expose the nakedness of His children, making them look like corrupt sinners in the world.

Exodus 20:26
26  Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

His word reveals the danger of lusting after a woman, which mostly comes on men when they see the sensitive body parts of a woman. Proper clothing will go a long way to prevent lust among men.

Matthew 5:28
28  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Christian sisters must make sure they do not constitute a temptation to their Christian brothers and ministers through ungodly dressing.

Romans 14:13
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

Thought for the day: Let your beauty and adornment be inward and not outward.
Song for the day: Holy is the Lord.
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 82-84; Romans 8:19-39

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
