TOPIC:  CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE IN PERSPECTIVE.  FRIDAY SEMPTEMBER 1
TEXT:  GENESIS 24:50-60
KEY VERSE:  “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. “(Proverbs 18:22).

God loves His children and is concerned with their welfare. As God thought out a marriage partner for Adam and brought her to him, so he is planning for His children, to join them in marriage. We need to know the following facts about the marriage of God's children.

i.            There is a Christian way of marriage which is righteous, holy and God-honouring. The couple desiring to marry must be born again and righteous.
ii.            Individuals going into marriage must do so under their freewill
iii.            Physical maturity is required for marriage. It is required also that the man should be able to provide for his family.
iv.            Prayer, faith, discernment and counseling are required to marry according to God's will.
v.            Medical verification on essential things such as deadly disease, impotency and blood genotype is required to avoid sorrow after marriage.
vi.            Parental consent and dowry payment is required.
vii.            The period of courtship must be handled sensitively and righteously.
viii.            Believers must not follow the standard of the world in marriage.
ix.            The church and its marriage committee play important role in the marriage of her godly children, according to God’s will.
x.            Fruitfulness in life and ministry largely depends on the stability of marriage of God's children. Eternity too may depend upon it.
xi.            Church wedding makes marriage a holy and honourable thing. Church wedding is not for those already married and are staying together or have defiled themselves.
xii.            Young widows and widowers may re-marry.

Keep yourself pure as a single or as one in courtship or as one in widowhood. Pray earnestly to overcome any delay in getting a marriage partner.

Thought for the Day:  Marrying according to God’s will makes your home God’s habitation.
Song for the Day: O give us Christian home.
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 148-150; 1 Corinthians 11:16-34

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
