TOPIC:    ACCEPTABLE DRESS CODE FOR HOLY WOMEN.  MONDAY AUGUST 14
TEXT:       Matthew 5:14-16
KEY VERSE: “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31.

The believer must not dress wild, strange, or foolish, claiming it is because she is holy. She must be decent, clean, neat and good looking. Her dressing must be satisfactory to the holiness community who should praise God for her. The following should guide her dressing.

  1. Her breast region should be properly covered.
  2. The neck of her blouse or gown must be properly raised so that her back and breast regions are not unduly exposed.
  3. The sleeves of her blouse or gown must extend at least to her elbow, for short sleeves.
  4. Her blouse should have enough allowance in the body and should be long           enough not to expose the bare body on bending position.
  5. The gown likewise must have enough allowance in the body and should reach down beyond the calf region of the leg.
  6. The skirt also must have enough allowance on the body and must reach below the calf or three-quarters region of the leg.
  7. The calf region of a woman in wrapper, skirt or gown must not be seen in            her sitting position, the must not be pulled back exposing the region between the calf and knee.
  8. If she is putting on a sleeveless dress, it must be on top of an inner dress with sleeves.
  9. A woman who is putting on a suit must make sure her dress obeys these rules.
  10. Some kinds of see-through clothes are indecent to use, even with inner lining; the inner linings are clearly seen beyond the clothes.
  11. This makes a bad impression to the viewers. However, some blend well with the inner lining as one cloth. Laces with broad holes should be avoided as they make a bad impression on the body even with inner lining. It is indecent also to see some women revealed by light as not wearing under wear at all or putting on too short under wear.
  12. Women must take heed to the scripture and avoid masculine dresses. Trousers, slacks, pants and masculine shirts should be rejected by the women.
  13. The buttons of the woman's blouse, gown or skirts must be given special attention in design and fixture not to allow exposure of her breast, stomach and underwear.
  14. Women should avoid splits or slits on their skirts gowns.
  15. There are some dresses which the moral society allows both men and women to use; such is called unisex. These include polo and T-shirts. Christian women have the liberty to use them, if they are befitting and do not affect godliness in appearance.

Note that what the woman puts on as underwear which is not seen with the eyes of the people around her does not condemn her. Let not the woman fill guilty for what she uses as underwear.

Thought for the day:    Dress holy to the glory of God.
Song for the day: Create in me a clean heart O Lord.
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 99-102; Romans 13

THE LORD IS REMOVING UNCIRCUMCISED LEADERS

REMAIN BLESSED AS YOU TAKE YOUR TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD. THURSDAY 30 DECEMBER THE LORD IS REMOVING UNCIRCUMCISED LEADERS TEXT: NUMBERS 14: 26-31  Key verse: Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many  be called, but few chosen. Completion of the angelic message: The Lord continued. “Because of this mandate given to you, I am removing around you the uncircumcised leaders. I am going to fill their place with righteous and holy leaders from various nations and races.” Truly I had pondered if any minister has suffered like this. People I loved, cherished and lived peacefully with suddenly began to speak evil against me to my shock. Well, it happens in politics, but is limited to their countries, whereas mine is international! Yes, some ministers may have suffered these things, but that was before the advent of the Internet, so their sufferings were limited. Maybe through letters or newspapers for a limited time, but my own is in the world of the I...
