TOPIC: BODY PAINTING AND BLEACHING IS AN ABOMINATIN TO GOD. WEDNESDAY AUGUST 30
TEXT: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
KEY VERSE: Jeremiah 4:30 And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.
The drive for beauty has taken women to many forbidden practices. Many chemicals are invented to achieve facial and bodily beauty of the woman. The cosmetic industry is dedicated to producing cosmetic materials for this purpose. White powder, brown powder, soap and lotions with various transforming power are produced to work on women face and body, to change the skin colour and give it another outlook. Medicated powder can be used where necessary, but it must not be used by a woman for facial beauty. Cortex and lipsticks are made for her to paint the eyelids, lips, fingers, and toes. The women also use eye salves to paint their eyes black. Some use artificial eye brows and eye lashes. Others use artificial nails. They do all these to achieve beauty.
The Christian sister must steer clear of these spiritual pollution and bodily filthiness. If you observe in your use of bathing soap or body lotion that your face and body skin is changing colour, discontinue its use in order to keep yourself from the wrath of God due to conformity to the world. Avoid all kinds of perfumes; this gives false smell to people. God sees those carrying this unnatural smell as liars, for such smell is artificial and not natural and is condemnable by God. Take your bath and care well for your body. Don't use perfume. Note that what God condemns in women, He also condemn in female children. Do not destroy your growing female child with ungodly dressing and adornment.
This warning is not restricted to women. It is also for the menfolk because some men also indulge in some of these filthy practices. Some men bleach their skin, use powder for make-up and spray perfumes on their body in the name fashion. Every creature of God has its own peculiar odour as a distinctive mark of identification. Isaac was able to pick the scent of Esau on his clothes when Jacob wore them to impersonate and collect his twin brother’s blessing (Genesis 27:27). Keep yourself pure to avert the wrath of God.
Thought for the day: Keep yourself pure in all respects.
Song for the day: Make me holy … Make me holy O Lord.
Bible reading for the day:
#horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
