TOPIC: WHILE MEN SLEPT, THE STRANGE SPIRIT OF ANOINTING OIL CREPT INTO THE CHURCH    September Thursday 3rd

TEXT: Matthew 13:24-30

KEY VERSE: 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

When you ascribe power to anointing oil and use it to anoint almost everything in the church, house, business premises and even yourself, where did you get it from? It is a strange spirit and since you have added to the word of God, you have given the devil occasion. That is why you have those ordained with anointing oil as fake ministers. They are not preaching the correct thing. What spirit was communicated to them? And this anointing oil, where is it from? How has it become so multiplied? An enemy has done this! It came into the church when men slept. A man sowed good seeds in his field but an enemy came overnight and sowed tares among them. It happened when men slept. You were not watchful and the enemy came and sowed the tares of anointing oil. Unfortunately, you thought it was from the scripture. It is never from the scripture of truth. It is from a strange spirit and that is responsible for many of the strangeness you are seeing in the body of Christ. A strange power is being communicated because it cannot be proved in scripture. To the law and to the testimony, if they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no truth in them. So, there is no truth in that anointing oil.

There is anointing oil for breakthrough and anointing oil for interview. You anoint your tongue and anoint your eye. Is it to see well as a witch or so that you can see real visions? You anoint for protection, anoint business premises to cast out demons and protect the place from witchcraft activities. Where did you get all these from? The common Israelites whether in Old or New Testament never anointed their premises with oil, so where did these people get this from? Certainly not the scripture also. Now they anoint everything to the extent that they have now turned the face of God’s people from Jesus to the bottle of anointing oil. God is very careful not to allow a physical thing to be observed for too long because human beings are drawn to anything physical. Faith is too strong for them hence they will prefer that which they can see. Thomas did not believe Jesus’ resurrection until he saw Him. But Jesus told him, blessed are they that have not seen and yet believe. The just shall live by faith! The just shall be healed by faith!! The just shall be anointed for service by faith!!!

Thought for the day: Satan can only take advantage of careless Christians. Therefore, be vigilant!
