TOPIC: THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST IS THE GOSPEL OF FAITH, NOT GOSPEL OF MIRACLE SUBSTANCES     September Friday 11th

TEXT: Romans 1:16-17

KEY VERSE: Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 


Without seeing you believe. That is faith! But man wants to see and to touch, and then to turn that which he has seen and touched to an idol, like the brass serpent that Moses made. 2 Kings 18:4 He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan. 


In our day, we see people who have exalted anointing oil above the name of Jesus. They carry it about. Without it, there is no healing, there is no deliverance, there is no breakthrough and there is no protection. Faith has been destroyed! Their faith is not complete without anointing oil. To them, the name of Jesus alone is not effective without pronouncing it on anointing oil. If you want them to have faith, just bring out a bottle of anointing oil. It has turned to herbalist business. 


It is like the nomadic Fulani herdsman in northern Nigeria that has exalted injection so high that if he comes to your hospital and you want his sickness to go and you are prescribing drugs without injection, you are just wasting your time. Even if his case does not need injection, just put injection water inside the syringe and inject him, he will start feeling well. That is the only time the Fulani herdsman believes he has received treatment. 


In like manner, these errant pastors have turned the faith of the people to anointing oil such that without rubbing the person with oil, just forget about the prayer you are praying for him. His faith is not in a prayer without anointing oil. Galatians 3:1, 2  O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Anointing oil is a bewitchment. It is witchcraft in the church. If you want the glory of the Lord to return to the church, remove those things that are contending with His glory. Remove those things that are shifting the faith of the people from Him. He wants us to know Him in our hearts. Come back to absolute faith and it shall go well with you.
