TOPIC: ROOTED IN THE TRUTH AND STABLISHED IN THE FAITH
TEXT: 2 Peter 3:17-18
KEY VERSE: Colossians 1:22, 23 … To present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard.
Believers that remain steadfast and make it to heaven will be greatly rewarded. The Christian life is a battle, a fierce battle that only those who mean business can overcome. After giving our lives to Christ, to grow in Him and remain in the faith to the end is a battle because many things come along the way to stop you, to corrupt the knowledge you have acquired, to terminate the practice of true Christian life in you, and to force you out of the narrow way. But I am praying that as the Lord desires so it shall be in your life; you will be rooted in the truth and be established in the faith. Paul the apostle who had found grace in the sight of God, and whom God had given great revelation and wisdom of His word had prayed for you that this revelation of the word will also come to you.
Colossians 2:7-8 “Rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiment of the world, and not after Christ.” What this scripture is saying is that as a tree projects its roots deep into the earth, so should our faith go deep into the sound doctrine of Christ. These truths have been taught by the founders of the church, and by those faithful ministers who succeeded them. Therefore, we should express overflowing thanks to God that we have been made acquainted with these great truths, so precious and so glorious. We are God’s children living in this world and many have made blunders in life and have fallen away, but we don’t want to fall away. Rather, we want to please the Lord and remain steadfast to the end. What will sustain us is the word of truth, not the traditions and heresies of men. May the Lord open your ears and open your hearts to the truth of His word in Jesus name. May you believe every word of God and live by it. May you not be doubters of God’s word in Jesus name.
Thought for the day: Live by the word of God, not by the tales of men.
Song for the day: The word of God is sufficient unto me…..
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 7-9; Acts 17:1-15

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
