TOPIC: TESTIMONY: GOD ANSWERS PRAYER – Part 2
TEXT: Psalm 145:18-19
KEY VERSE: Psalm 66:19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

Continued from yesterday …

“Then, I remembered I applied for N-Power in 2016 but I used a falsified Birth Certificate. It was after I applied for the job that I heard Pastor Rika’s message on restitution and I had immediately torn and burnt it. I also resolved within myself that if eventually I was called for the job, I would decline it. But when faced with the reality, the decision did not come easy because I was desperately in need of that job. My wife was also opposed to my declining the job offer. I later summoned courage but was ashamed to call the man back, so I sent him a text message that same night. In the text message, I confessed the forged certificate and told him I was not qualified by age. I apologized and asked for his forgiveness.  Very early the next day, the man replied my text and thanked me saying, ‘You are the type of people this country needs. I can see that you are a true Christian.’ He prayed for me and the matter ended there.

Exactly a week later, a call came in to my phone again. A man said, are you Mr. Kayode? I responded, ‘Yes sir.’ He continued, ‘I am professor Yemi Oladimeji; I am the Chief Medical Director of Community Hospital.’ When I heard this, I remember I had submitted my CV to the same hospital earlier. My wife had brought a phone number she copied from a wall in a market place advertising vacancy for a hospital driver. I had collected the number and dumped it somewhere saying to myself, ‘Am I going to start driving dead body or sick people about in ambulance even as a graduate?’ On the third day I had a dream. In the revelation the CMD of a hospital was begging me to come and put things right in the hospital. When I woke up I thought, may be the Lord wants me to do hospital evangelism as an ambulance driver. To my greatest surprise, the CMD of the hospital later called me and said, ‘I want you to come to the hospital. I want to make you the manager of the hospital.’ Even the exam I sat for, I came third but the hospital chose to pick me above others.”

Indeed, the God we serve in HOREMOW is doing mighty and unimaginable things in our midst. Praise the Lord!

KEY VERSE: It came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said, Lord, teach us how to pray as John taught his disciples. Luke 11: 1. When Jesus Christ came to us in the flesh, He went into the business of prayer because He was promoting the attribute of God as a prayer-answering God. He would not render that attribute idle or redundant. Nobody knew how John did it, but Jesus reveals here that the success you saw in the ministry of John the Baptist, the victory you saw in his ministry, is because he was a prayer man. John so much valued prayer. He saw the essentials of pr...
