TOPIC: YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD OUTSIDE HIS PRESENCE
TEXT: Philemon 1:10-18
KEY VERSE: Exodus 33:15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

Many people are running their ministry ahead of God due to lack of patience and the deceit of Satan. Can you actually outrun God? What result do you expect to get when you run your ministry outside the specification of God? It is like when students sit for exam in a classroom under the supervision of an invigilator but you choose to write your paper in a different classroom out of the view of the invigilator. Who will collect your paper? Are you not on your own? Suppose a runner gets off the starting block before the gun sounds, who will give him a winner’s medal? Pitifully, there are many people running the Christian race on their own accord. Jeremiah 23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. What is the benefit of your prophecy or ministry when you embark on an assignment God did not send you? How can that profit you when God is not involved? You embarked on an assignment under another master, so how can your reward and recognition come from God?

Onesimus was given a place and a person to work under him; it was grace that recovered him otherwise, he had gone elsewhere like Jonah. Philemon 1:10, 15-18 [10] I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: [11] Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me: [15] For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever; [16] Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord? [17] If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself. [18] If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account. Onesimus left the presence of a great leader where God had placed him for service. Rather than serve diligently, he did evil against his leader and ran away. What a great error! Mercy gave you the right assignment in Holiness Movement but pride, stubbornness, Satan, human pressure removed you from it. May the Lord restore you back to a great ministry as he did for Jonah and Onesimus through Paul.

Thought for the day: Don’t attempt to run faster than God.
Song for the day:    I want to be like Moses, I want to be like Moses……. to follow Jesus Christ

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
