The Testimony Of Jesus Is the Spirit Of Prophecy

Saturday May 11th

Text: Revelation 19: 7 - 10
Key verse: Jude 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
The faith of Jesus has already been delivered and it is written in the scriptures. Whatever prophecies, revelations or dreams that comes must not be contrary to the standard in the scripture. They must speak the same thing. The testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy. Every prophecy or revelation must honour Jesus and must be according to the written word. Even where they are new things, they must not contradict because the Bible is a summary of the things Jesus did. The Bible cannot contain all things. It must be according to what the scripture has already signified, not contrary. It must be subject to edification, tested by the Holy Ghost to see if it edifies or if it is a strange spirit coming.
Quench not the work of the Spirit in the church. The Spirit gives dream, visions and revelations. Prayerfully verify them with scriptures and seek guidance from leadership to bring out the word of God for edifying. Why do you quench the Spirit when people see visions as prophesied in scripture? Quench not the spirit. Despise not prophesying. Somebody says, “I have received a message from the Lord” and you say, “Shut up!” Don’t do that. You are sinning. Do not despise prophesying rather allow him to prophesy, then prove it. Check it up. Go and verify whether those pastors mentioned in the revelations are really backslidden or not. How do see their ministries that their names came up in the prophecy as corrupt men. How do you look at it? Check it up. When you realize that the prophecy is correct, hold to it as the word of God because God spoke it. Some may say that God is not a gossiper. When a man warns his children over what his elder son is doing, do you call him a gossiper? The prophecy was not the will of man but the Holy Ghost revealed it.

Thought for the day: Holy men spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Song for the day: Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me

Bible reading for the day: 2 Chronicles 12-16

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. January Saturday 18th TOPIC: HOW TO ATTAIN BIBLE HOLINESS TEXT: Romans 6:20-23 KEY VERSE: Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Besides the essential knowledge of the holy life of a Christian, it is good to understand the manner and process of becoming holy before God. Holiness of life is a life that has overcome sin through the saving power of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. It is a life that does not commit sin. 1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Getting this experience requires four things: 1. Know that apart from holiness, there is no alternative lifestyle for heaven. Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holin...
