The Fruits Of Mentees 

Sunday May 26th

Text: 2 Timothy 3:10-14
Key verse: 2 Timothy 3: 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
If you are a mentor, mentoring people, those people under you are mentees. These are disciples mentored in the faith and ministry as Paul did to Timothy. Paul said, “Timothy, you saw what I suffered as we were going about in ministry. I was mentoring you; I was teaching you. You know my life. Believe those things I have thought you and continue in them. If doubts arise, say, “But I know Paul. I know what he has suffered for Christ. the Lord has proved this man before my eyes. He endured persecution.” Through the mentorship of Paul, Timothy, Titus, Epaphras and several other ministers excelled in life and ministry afterward. All these people mentored by Paul, were the fruits of his true and holy life and ministry. Their lives were patterned after his kind for every tree brings fruit after its kind. What gospel do you teach that the man that is so close to you is still committing immorality even as he is following you? What do you teach that the man that you count as one of your faithful men is still a drunkard? Do you teach them sound doctrine? Are you really a bold and courageous preacher that preaches the truth and stands on the truth? 
Mentor people. Teach people the righteousness and holiness of the Lord. Go in haste. The world is collapsing. In the western world the children do not go to church anymore. They serve Satan publicly. They agree with Satan. They have surrendered to him and the wind is blowing fast to Africa. Therefore, rise up before these people will stone you in crusades; that say they do not want anybody to hold crusades. I heard a story, that a football team in America won a trophy so one of the players collected the trophy and raised it up saying, “Thank God.” The authority was angry and asked him, “Who told you that somebody is up there? You are representing a team. Is it your trophy? Who told you to call the name of God over it?” Before this type of thing comes to Nigeria, run fast; preach and deliver the people quickly.

Thought for the day: Mentor and teach people the righteousness and holiness of God.
