Biblical Examples Of People Who Exercised Burden, Vision And Action

Text: Nehemiah 5: 9 – 13 Monday April 15th

Key verse: Romans 12:11 Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord
Burden creates vision. A burden in the heart will create a vision. What will I do over this situation? How do I handle this situation? How do I improve this situation? How do I bring solution to this situation? How do I come out, how do I make people come out of this situation? Burden translates into vision. Vision is the thought, desire and plan to bring solution to a standing problem. That idea that comes to your mind, that flashes to your mind as a solution to a problem is vision. Vision in the life of a believer gives you energy to work, direction to follow and opens your eyes to what to do. Yes! It is a revelation. It is an inspiration. As you see the situation, allow a vision to take over from burden.
The Four Lepers: When the four lepers sat down and knew they were going to die because there was no food in the city, they were in burden, in pain, in sorrow. Then came up a vision. Let us go to the camp of the Syrians. If they kill us, we die but if they spare us, we will live. They will give us food. Vision!
The Prodigal Son: To the prodigal son, burden, he had no food to eat, not even the food of pigs. That was a burden. Then what do I do? Vision! I will rise and go to my father and settle with him. Then I shall have food to eat. That’s the vision.
The Unjust Steward: Then to the unjust steward, what was the burden? My master taketh away from me the stewardship and I cannot beg, I am ashamed. I cannot dig. I can’t go to farm. My hands are so smooth. What will I do? Now I know what I will do. Vision! Burden has translated to vision. I pray that God will give you vision to know what to do over the situation of your life, family and ministry in Jesus name. Just have a vision. If you do not have a vision your ministry and service of God has come to an end. But if you have a vision, don’t tell me about your old age. There is something still going to happen in your life and ministry. It shall rise.

Thought for the day: Burden creates vision: Burden translates into vision.

Song for the day: My life shall be a testimony, testimony, testimony …

KEY VERSE: It came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said, Lord, teach us how to pray as John taught his disciples. Luke 11: 1. When Jesus Christ came to us in the flesh, He went into the business of prayer because He was promoting the attribute of God as a prayer-answering God. He would not render that attribute idle or redundant. Nobody knew how John did it, but Jesus reveals here that the success you saw in the ministry of John the Baptist, the victory you saw in his ministry, is because he was a prayer man. John so much valued prayer. He saw the essentials of pr...
