Recommended Attitude Towards the Word of God

Monday April 8th

Text: Galatians1:6-10
Key verse: 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone into the world.
The following are the recommended attitude towards the word of God: Receive it. Whichever way it comes, whatever He says unto you, do it. It means, receive it, judge it, prove it. Prove it by the scriptures. Try it. Who is speaking? Check it up. When we say receive prophecy, receive revelation, is it all prophecies, revelations and dreams? No because Satan has his dreams, revelations and prophecies too. Therefore, try it, test it, prove it. That is what the word says. Examine it. By what standard? Examine it by the standard of the word of God. Reject it if the prophecy speaks something different about Jesus that the scripture has not said. Reject it. If a revelation appears to justify iniquity which the scripture has condemned, reject it. It is not from the Lord. It is not the word of God.
From our reading scriptural text, Paul had outlined the gospel truth to the disciples and said, people will still come and preach but let nobody say any other thing. I know what I gave you. I know I spoke by the inspiration of God to you. I am so full of understanding. If any man says anything about Jesus, contrary to what I said, the curse of God should be upon that man. If any man teaches anything about righteousness and holiness, contrary to what I have said to you, the curse of God should be upon that person. Paul did not say that people will not preach. People will come and preach but it should be in the same line, teaching the same thing. Yes, everybody that wants to go to Lagos passes through this highway. If somebody takes another road somewhere say, “No. Please leave me alone. I don’t know where we are going.” That is what Paul was saying. He did not say that nobody will preach again. People will preach. He was not the only preacher but other preachers must keep to the standard; not different from what the Holy Spirit gave to the apostles.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
