The Wounds Sustained On The Field Of Evangelism (2)

Saturday April 6th

Text: Acts 16: 22 - 26
Key verse: Acts 16:25 “And at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God, and the prisoners heard them.”
Continuation of testimony of Samuel Adjei:
I told her that I needed to go because if the mad man kills anybody it will affect us. When I got there, the old king heard the noise and came out of the palace but this mad man was holding a stick to attack the king. I stood between them and shouted at him to bring the stick but he did not comply. Rather he replied, “Every time, you have been overpowering me but this time you cannot because it is you that I have been looking for. I am going to kill you. Pastor, I have been assigned to kill you this night, so I am going to do that.” I learnt how to defend myself when under attack in any place. I prayed that the Lord will help me use this knowledge and skill. I approached him by taking him by surprise. He is very tall in stature and had been on drugs for many years so he was very strong. I was able to take the stick from him but I could not collect the stone with him.
The way I approached him he could not release himself from my hands. We both fell to the ground and I sat on him. When he realized that he could not get loose from my grips, he began to bite me. He bit my chest six times, even biting off the flesh from there. I shouted for help but nobody came. We were struggling on the ground. When I pulled his mouth off my chest, he turned his mouth and bit off a part of my fingers, chewed it and swallowed it before my eyes so they will not join it together. That is why my little finger is short. The remaining four fingers do not work well. I had two surgeries and was directed to a specialist but the money is much. The doctor advised that it might become normal after some years. This happened in 2018 but now in 2021, I cannot hold cutlass to do any work. I hold the microphone with my left hand. If I use my right hand, it becomes weak and the microphone would fall.

Thought for the day: This is one of the wounds I got through evangelism.

Song for the day: I love my Jesus, my Jesus loves me, no circumstances can …

Bible reading for the day: 2 Samuel 17-19

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
