God Still Speaks By Dreams, Visions, Trance and Dark Speeches

Text: Numbers 12: 5 - 8       

Wednesday April 17th

Key verse: Numbers 12: 8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then are ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? 

Be careful of those who do not know scripture but command respect as great and holy men of God. God says, “I will bring the blind by the way that he knows not. Who is blind but my servant? Who is deaf as he that is perfect?” The fact that he is righteous does not mean that he has known everything. God Himself said so. The gift of prophecy still works up to today and the Lord says, I the Lord will speak to My prophets by visions and dreams. When the prophet speaks by Me, that is My word. The vision or dream given by God is His word. When Joseph dreamed a dream, it was the word of God. He dreamed yet another dream and it was also the word of God.  In fact, the Lord sometimes gives dreams to unbelievers as the word of God. So, wherever the word comes from, in whichever wrap or package it comes, as long as we know it to be the word of God; receive it, believe it, practice it. 

Sometimes, the dream may not speak directly but proverbially, maybe in similitude or metaphor as a dark speech. God said, “I will not speak to Moses in dark speeches but I can speak to the prophets in dark speeches. That is why some scriptures require diligent effort to get the meaning. Many things may be said but the actual meaning may just be a single thing there. Look well, you will pick it. A dream is like a parable. It may not be everything said. No, your dream say you first went to Lagos before you did that thing. It may not really be that you must go to Lagos. It is just packaging it in some things and you may get the key messages from it. That is why they are called dark speeches. It appears dramatized but a drama has one key message to present. It may go through several roads to present the main message. Therefore, dreams may not always be fulfilled word to word but the key thing will come forth.
