The Wounds Sustained On The Field Of Evangelism (1)

Friday April 5th

Text: Jude 21 - 24
Key verse: Jude 22 “And of some have compassion, making a difference.”
My name is Samuel Adjei. I was living in Accra but the word of God came to me to go to Papiweni to propagate the gospel there. I heard that no pastor has succeeded up to six months in that village. Till now, there is no church in that village. If people go there to pastor, they end up either dead, blind or crippled. So, there was nobody willing to go there with the gospel of God. When the message came to me, I waited upon the Lord before taking a step. When I got to the village, I discovered that what I had heard about the village was actually true but the Lord was on my side.
I went there to plant a church with my family but to the glory of God, I have stayed there for eight years now. There have been many battles but the Lord has delivered me and my family. The senior pastor, through whom I got to know that place, brought a mad person to me. My pastor usually prays for this mad person. It got to a point that whenever the pastor prays for this mad man, the mad man will beat him. When I prayed, the Lord directed me to go but I did not inform my pastor that he is not in a position to handle that particular assignment. Anytime I go and see this mad person, he will be very calm in my presence. Anytime he is violent and takes an item to injure somebody, when I get there, he would be calm and give that item to me.
It became news in the village that when the senior pastor comes to the mad man, he is violent but when the junior pastor gets there, he is calm. Satan used this opportunity to trap me. It happened that the mad man’s situation got worse. Those to control him were unable to do so and he got into the town, trying to injure people. He got to a nearby village and entered into a certain king's palace. This mad man is a grown-up man. I was told that no one could subdue him and that I should bring him back. I started taking necessary steps to go. My wife informed me that she did not feel okay with the idea of my going and if I must go, I should not go alone.

Thought for the day: As I got the message, I waited on the Lord before taking a step.

Song for the day: When He calls me, I will answer …

Bible reading for the day: 2 Samuel 14-16

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
