YOUTHFUL SOLOMON CHOSE WISDOM

God bless you for taking the time to study.

TOPIC: YOUTHFUL SOLOMON CHOSE WISDOM

TEXT: 1 King 3:3-15

THURSDAY APRIL 6th

Key verse: Matthew6: 33. But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Many people do not know how and what to ask of the Lord any time they are before Him. Some ask the right things at the wrong time, while others ask the wrong things at the right time. Seek the Lord when He may be found. God gives speedy answers when the right procedure is followed and done with faith, belief, and righteousness. Some ask amiss or with wavering hearts that it is why they obtain nothing from the Lord. The Lord showed us what to do in Matthew 7:7. “Ask, and it shall be given to you: seek, and you find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you. The procedure of prayer was given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ when the disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray in Matthew 6: 5-13
Solomon touched the heart of God by giving a thousand burnt offerings and in return, God gave him an open cheque to fill whatever his heart desired. Solomon had the opportunity to ask God to deal with his enemies and that of his father David, but chose wisdom to enable him to rule over Israel and Judah. His choice of wisdom pleased the Lord and the Lord added that which he did not ask; “both riches and honor; so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days” (verses 12-13). “And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand of the sea shore. And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and the wisdom of Egypt.” (1 King 4:29-30).
Herodias’s daughter asked for the head of John the Baptist; Gehazi asked for a gift that was already covered by leprosy; the children of Eli were busy making sinful demands from worshippers; the people asked for Barabbas the thief instead of Jesus Christ; these were not acts of wisdom.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
