God bless you for taking the time to study.
ESTEEM THE HEAVENLY CALLING ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE
TEXT: HEBREWS 3:1-2
FRIDAY APRIL 7th
Key verse: 1 Peter 5:3 “Neither as lords over the God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock”.
Christianity is a heavenly calling. If you are appointed as a leader to lead God’s people to heaven, then it is a great calling, especially in Holiness Revival Movement Jesus keeps referring to as His own. If you understand that you are appointed by Divine God to lead holy brethren, see your appointment as the greatest calling in the world. Let your eyes focus on Jesus who appointed you and not on man. Jesus was appointed and was faithful to Him who appointed Him and at the end, He was crowned and glorified.
If you are brought in as a sinner or with a fault, amend your ways. How should you live your life? Walk worthy of your calling. As a leader, God wants you to willingly feed His flock, not by constraint, not for filthy lucre but of a ready. If you don’t know this, it means honour is becoming for a fool. Prove it, be humble. You must not be soon angry; forbear one another: learn to bear the mistake of one another; work in unity: remember that your appointment is not by certificate but by your life. Did the leadership ask you for a certificate when you were being appointed? Therefore, live worthy of your calling else your work has ended. You can’t do this work with sins in your life.
Husband and wife, cooperate with each other; the wife submits to her husband irrespective of her status. Let the people know that you submit to your husband as a coordinator’s wife. Husband, don’t maltreat your wife, don’t shut up her mouth, and let people see it. Ensure effective prayer in your family, it will keep you in holiness. Don’t hide sin. If you notice it, report it, or else you have failed. Be obedient to all rules and be ready to suffer. Where the need arises over the hard situations, cry out to God and He will give you a solution; Issues of witchcraft will be fought to stand still, we are in a battle to salvage our souls; Avoid idolatry for power; Let the love of Jesus Christ supersedes everything: your wife, husband, children and any earthly thing; and live by faith in the living God.
Thought for the day: Live worthy of your calling to end up in heaven.
