CHRISTIAN BURIAL CEREMONY

God bless you for taking the time to study.

CHRISTIAN BURIAL CEREMONY

FRIDAY APRIL 14TH

TEXT: ECCLESIASTES 7:2- 4
Key verse: But I would not have you to be ignorant brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. I Thessalonians 4: 13
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-3 To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted. A time to kill, and a time to heal, a time to break down, and a time to build up.
This means that you will suffer bereavement around you and you too will die one day therefore, attending a burial ceremony is a necessity.
Ecclesiastes 7: 2 -5 It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting; for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Sorrow is better than laughter; for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.
The house of death is the house of mourning; it is the house of sorrow. It is not the house of feasting; it is not the house of laughter. But men have turned it into the house of feasting, laughter, and celebration. The sorrow the Bible talks about is to think of where the person who has died has gone to, and the pain he or she went through before he died. But today, when one’s beloved one dies, he is sorrowful because he is worried about the huge costs of feeding people.
Christian burial is to make one sober and reflects on his or her life, not to be entertained with dancing and drinking. Romans 12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. When one is weeping and mourning for the loss of a loved one, it is not good to go there to dance, eat and be merry. Jesus visited a bereaved home. When Jesus saw the sisters weeping, and the Jews that came to comfort them weeping, he himself also wept.

Thought for the day: Christian burial is different from the world’s burial.

Song for the day: When we get to heaven, at the marriage supper

Bible reading for the day: 1 Samuel 15-16; Luke 14:25-35

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
