CORRELATION BETWEEN SOUND DOCTRINE AND HOLY LIVING

TEXT: Colossians 1:28-29 

SATURDAY APRIL 8th 

Key Verse: Job 11:4- For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes. 
The correlation between sound biblical teaching and holiness means practicing sound teaching or doctrines of the Lord written in the scripture. If you teach sound teaching, there will be salvation and purity. People will be saved, cleansed, and made righteous. When your word is pure and what you teach is clean, you will see purity in your members because they are the balanced diet of the Spirit. If you feed your chicken, you will see their growth and health. If you feed your family with good food, you will see how they will react and respond to change from the good food they are eating. Sound doctrine produces purity in the lives of believers.
Why you are not seeing people cleaning themselves is because the true teachings are not there. Women wear trousers and other ungodly dresses, perm their hair and use wool on their hair and are adorned with all kinds of jewelry because the true teachings of God are not taught to them. Bring the true teachings of God to them and they will respond and clean up themselves. There is a correlation between true teaching and holiness. The true word that comes from Jesus achieves cleanliness. Where church members do not act well nor live in purity, the reality is that they are not teaching them the correct word. 
Do not pamper them or hide the truth from them. If you declare, "Don't bring the doctrines of earrings to my church and don't teach that thing here", it means you will never get true righteousness and holiness; neither will there be righteous people in that church because the power to make righteous and holy is not there. The doctrines to make righteous and holy are not there because you don't have the power to do it, that is why they are like that. But bring the true doctrines in your teaching and you will see purity in them because God has made and the power of His word will change them.
