TOPIC: WHY DID YOU GO BACK TO YOUR VOMIT?

TEXT: Isaiah 52:1-6

KEY VERSE: Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Your mind has left God. Your mind has gone back to reconsider the earrings. You have gone back to reconsider the woman of the world with the rags and dirt and defilement in them as if they are precious. You are even regretting why you cleaned up yourself. The Lord wants to know what made you change your mind so quickly. What made your mind to now go to vanity? With this, have you not made yourself useless, empty, and with nothing of value inside you again? Spiritually, you are now poor and wretched! No prayer life, no study of God’s word, no fasting, no regular fellowship and communion in the assembly of saints, no more attending night vigil. The Lord has weighted you on a scale and found you to be empty. Daniel 5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. Even demons have noticed that you are empty. That is why they are coming to you and bringing their dreams. That is why they are bringing troubles to your life. Samson, the philistines are now upon you because you are found in the house of a harlot. You have become vulnerable to enemy attack. Samson, you have lost your power. Samson, why did you leave the presence of God? Why did you backslide? What offence did God commit against you Samson?

In today’s reading text, God is making an accusation against you. God is saying that something untoward has come upon you. He is saying some unclean things have come upon you; some unclean persons have come into close relationship with you. You that was holy unto the Lord, now you are looking for an unbeliever, an unclean person to marry. An unclean man came for your hand in marriage and you are giving your consent. What fault did you find with holiness of life that you are now doing this to yourself? Or you that went into unclean business because you are looking for money. Why did you make such a sharp U-turn? Did God fail you? Is God responsible for your degeneration to that unclean state? The speed at which you went into the world is alarming. Now, dust has covered your body from your head down to your feet. Your white garment of righteousness has been filled with dust. You ran through rough road and it brought you rough life. Now your once dazzling white garment has become terribly stained. Now, you are covered with dust more than ever before. Better late than never. It is not too late for you to go back to God in dust and ashes and plead for forgiveness. He is merciful. He will surely forgive.

Thought for the day: God is plentiful in mercy. Repent and He will forgive.

Song for the day: Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling….

Bible reading for the day: 1 Chronicles 20-22; John 10:22-42

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
