TOPIC: PRAY TO PURGE YOUR LIFE OF SPIRITUAL DEFILEMENT May Sunday 10th
Text: 1 Thessalonians 5: 21-25
Key verse: 1Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
After salvation, you need to be sanctified to perfect you for heaven. Pray fervently for God to remove the remaining traces of sin in your life that are causing you embarrassment and constituting obstacle to your heavenly journey.
i. Pray to remove that anger. Why do you get angry with little provocations? It is a spiritual sickness. The anger comes by itself. Even when you are pushing it away, it will push itself back into your heart. Go into prayer, God will handle that anger and set you free.
ii. Pray against lying tongue and exaggerating lips. You do not know how it happens. You want to stop but you can’t. Go to God in prayers!
iii. Pray against lust after the opposite sex. Your mind just goes off and hooks to a lady or a man. This issue is beyond your capacity to handle. Go to God in prayer. God will root out that lust. Why should it bring you to shame? Why should you be hypocritical in life?
iv. Pray against fear. You just feel threatened. You are afraid and keep wondering why you are afraid. It is the nature of your heart. Take it to God in prayer.
v. Pray against socially unwholesome character. You are not sociable. Socially you are not performing and you do not know why. God will help you. Take it to Him in prayer.
vi. Pray for a heart of love and giving. You don’t know how to be charitable and flow in giving. Commit it to God in prayer. Tell Him to make you loving and charitable.
vii. Pray against the fear of giving account. When you are told, “Bring your reports,” what goes on in your hearts? Does your heart really agree that you should make bare your reports? Or do some human wisdom envelope your mind saying, “If they know how much I have, if they know that I used the money for this thing, may be this or that will happen?” Those are defilements of your life due to the nature of your heart. Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Thought for the day: If you want holiness in your life and in others, take prayer seriously.
Song for the day: Holiness is the beauty of the believer
Bible reading for the day: 1 Kings 21-22; John 3:1-21

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
