TOPIC: LET YOUR LIFE BE A MESSAGE OF SALVATION TO SINNERS May Monday 4th
Text: Philippians 2: 12-16
Key verse: Philippians 2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
This is a testimony by a Unit Leader in HOREMOW.
In May 2019, I was nominated among many to undergo 4 weeks training in Police College, Kaduna for promotion from the rank of Sergeant to Inspector of Police. I arrived early to the camp and was led to hold daily devotions for women, which resulted in my appointment as Camp Women Leader. The major challenge came in area of dressing for morning exercise, jogging, drills and parade. We were mandated to use trousers and short knickers but I refused bluntly because it is an abomination for women to wear trousers. Rather, I used long skirts for all the exercises until one of the instructors confronted me and insisted that I must wear trousers. The Lord gave me boldness to resist firmly and used a senior officer to warn him to leave me alone.
One night during the training, there was a medical emergency when a woman went into sudden heath crisis in the female hostel. Immediately, they all said, “Please quickly call that sister with long skirts to pray for her.” To my amazement, the Lord intervened promptly in restoring her health after I prayed a short, fervent prayer. The woman later confessed to me that she was a Christian before but converted to Islam because of marriage, but by reason of this mercy God has shown her, she has decided to abandon Islam and return to Jesus for forgiveness and restoration. Praise the Lord! She said she has stopped praying Islamic way and was now following us in the camp daily devotions. Alleluia!
The Lord helped me in teaching the women the word of God and sharing HOREMOW books and materials to them. In my absence, one of them wanted to sew a new uniform and was counseled to follow my example and sew a skirt for herself instead of trouser for official use. To the glory of God, she agreed and we became two women wearing long skirts in the camp! God is indeed faithful to His children.
Thought for the day: May the Lord use our lives as a message to convert others
Song for the day: Send the light, the blessed gospel light….
Bible reading for the day: 1 Kings 8-9; Luke 23:39-56

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
