TOPIC: DANIEL AS A BIBLICAL EXAMPLE OF EXEMPLARY LIFESTYLE
TEXT: Daniel 1:3-7
KEY VERSE: Daniel 1:8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore, he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Ignorant people will say it is impossible for anybody to live a holy life. This sad commentary is even found right in the church. They want to make God a liar who says, BE YE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY. They make it look as difficult as inventing a space rocket. Yet it is not an impossible task otherwise no believer will go to heaven. All the saints of old in the Bible and also in our own day lived a holy life, they died and entered heaven. Holiness is the gate pass through the gate of heaven. Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord. It is the holy living that gives birth to exemplary life. Therefore, we are going to examine bible characters that live exemplary lives and are now in heaven.
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank (Daniel 1:8). Imagine Daniel, a youthful school boy, taking such a firm decision to defy the king’s order because of righteousness. He knew the meal had first been offered as sacrifice to idols, so he rejected it. That is an exemplary lifestyle! His other colleagues, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego also joined him to reject the king’s meal. That again is the power of influence of an exemplary life. Daniel was different. He did not join the crowd. That is what God is looking for in you. Daniel did not allow societal influence to stain his holy life. I want you to know that you must be different to excel in this kingdom race. Others may do it, but you must not. You are a peculiar and special person. I am not my wife and you are not your husband. Heaven is a personal race. If you cannot take your righteousness to this level, I will take mine there and purpose so in my heart. Take your righteousness to that level, then your righteousness will profit others as they become righteous through you. Some of these brothers have not understood the calling that we have received. Show them by your life, then they will understand better. Sister, some of this your women have not understood the way of holy dressing. They are still seeing their Jezebelic dresses as okay. Show them by your exemplary life, the standard Christian dressing. Let them see zeal, meekness, neatness, natural beauty and divine favor in you, then they will know that they have not yet arrived in true Christianity.
Thought for the day: Let your life lead others to righteousness.
Song for the day: Oh Lord, set my life of fire for You, I want to burn for you….
Bible reading for the day: 2 Kings 20-22; John 6:45-71

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
