TOPIC: ONLY GOD IS WORTHY OF OUR WORSHIP
Text: Exodus 20: 1-5
Key verse: John 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

There are three separate Persons in the Godhead: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Each of these Persons is God, Lord, Creator and is worthy to be worshipped: The Father is eternal. He is the Creator and Lord. Only Him can be worshipped; The Son, Jesus Christ, is eternal. He is the Creator and Lord. Only Him can be worshipped; The Holy Spirit is God and eternal. He is the Creator and Lord. Only Him can be worshipped. But there are not three Gods but one God.

God is incomparable to man in every respect. He is more glorious in form and appearance. Jesus said we have not seen His shape and Moses warned the children of Israel, “You never saw God! You only heard His voice so do not design anything of any creature in heaven, on earth or under the sea to say it is God. Do not do so because you have never seen His shape.” Now the scripture and the painting we have of Jesus Christ is because He came in the body of a man. He made physical appearances and people saw his shape as a man. Philippians 2:6, 7 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.

Since God had incarnated and lived on earth as Man in the Person of Jesus, an artist can attempt to draw what he thinks Jesus looks like. Likewise, men can act the role of Jesus in films to narrate Bible stories. God would allow that because He came into our midst as a man. God is the only object of worship. Even images of Jesus must not be worshipped. Churches that bow down for images of departed saints or of their founders are in grave error as this obnoxious and damnable practice is in clear violation of the express commandment of God. Exodus 20:4, 5 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

Thought for the day: God is Eternal, Creator and Lord, the only One worthy of our worship.
Song for the day: Only You I will serve Jehovah Nissi

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

January Saturday 18th TOPIC: HOW TO ATTAIN BIBLE HOLINESS TEXT: Romans 6:20-23 KEY VERSE: Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Besides the essential knowledge of the holy life of a Christian, it is good to understand the manner and process of becoming holy before God. Holiness of life is a life that has overcome sin through the saving power of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. It is a life that does not commit sin. 1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Getting this experience requires four things: 1. Know that apart from holiness, there is no alternative lifestyle for heaven. Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holin...
