TOPIC: THE CONCEPT OF RESURRECTION IN SCRIPTURE
Text: John 5:25 – 29
Key verse: John 5: 25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God: and they that hear shall live.

Here, Jesus Christ was talking about resurrection and He said that all that are in the grave shall arise. The time is coming that all that are in the grave shall arise; and He puts the resurrection in two phases. He said “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth first, after that – they that have done evil shall arise unto the resurrection of domination.’’ Now you can see that the First Resurrection is the resurrection of those that have done good. “Good” here is not referring to people that have done “good works” through self-righteousness.  Rather, it is referring to those who are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ; who are clothed with the righteousness of God in Christ and preserve themselves in holiness. It is this category of people that shall rise first in the resurrection unto life eternal.

As for sinners, the good they are doing is like filthy rags before God because it has no recognition or reward in eternity.  Heaven recognizes those that have done good as only they that are in Christ, who are washed by the blood of Christ and are led by the Holy Ghost to do the will of God. As many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God. But sinners are the hypocrites who shall resurrect in the Second Resurrection which is the resurrection unto damnation.

When God created man, he breathed into his nostrils and man became a living soul. When one is in a right relationship with God, he is to live forever. Yes, when God made the first man, he had the righteousness of God in him therefore he was to live forever. But when sin came into him he lost that privilege. Death came by sin and entered the whole world. However, Jesus came to restore the life of eternity with God. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life”. Have you given your life to Christ and living holy or you are labouring in sin and unrighteousness, which results in second resurrection and eternal damnation in lake of fire?

Thought for the day: Eternal life has come back to man through Jesus Christ.
Song for the day: Eternal life, eternal life, I want to live eternal life….
Bible reading for the day:
Judges 12-14; Luke 9:37-62

Every Word Of God For Daily Living For taking your time to study remain blessed July Tuesday 9th TOPIC: WE ARE IN THE TWILIGHT HOUR OF RAPTURE TEXT: Ephesians 5:26-27 KEY VERSE: Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Seeing the traces of the features of the next dispensation in this present dispensation, you should know that you are in the twilight hour. What is a twilight hour? A twilight hour is that hour of the day that you begin to see the traces of the night while it is still daylight (probably 7:00pm to 7:30pm). It is not completely dark, yet it is not complete bright either. While it is still day, you are seeing the traces of the night. A twilight hour is the hour when you are still in this dispensation but you are already seeing traces of the next. The twilight hour is the time that our Lord Jesus Christ was born and even though He came with the New Test...
