TOPIC: THE DOCTRINES OF SANCTIFICATION AND HOLY GHOST BAPTISM   October Sunday 20th
TEXT: John 17: 1-26
KEY VERSE: John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
Sanctification is a biblical word that carries two meaning in the Bible. This first meaning is separation, dedication, set apart to God for holy use. In this respect, persons, things, and places can be sanctified or set apart unto God. In this respect Jesus was sanctified by God the Father for human salvation; Jesus sanctified Himself for the holiness of the believers.

The second biblical meaning of the word sanctification reveals sanctification as a second definite experience required in a believers by which the Holy Spirit by means of Christ’s word and His blood renders a believer purified for inherited sin, original sin, inbred sin that often weighs down the heart of a believers, the sinful pollution of pride, envy, greed, malice, anger and the likes. Sanctification experience is required to clear such from the heart and life of the believers in order to make him free and give him the gracious ability to operate and increasing holy life.

Simply put, salvation experience does in a sinner what water and detergent does to a dirty clothe. Sanctification experience rinses the cloth already washed. Both are separate experiences, but required for wholesome cleansing. As the sinners exercises faith and prays to Jesus Christ for his salvation from sin, the believers come to Christ in faith and pray to received sanctification of heart for an increasing holiness and Christ’s love in Him. John 17:14-20. Ephesians 5:24-27; Acts 26:18. Sanctification also means purity, holiness, heart circumcision.

Baptism of the Holy Ghost is the imparting of the power of the Holy Spirit in baptismal measure upon a believer in Christ. This experience is called the promise of effective Christian service. Speaking in tongues by the Holy Ghost is initial evidence that one has been baptized with the Holy Spirit. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are valid to today. These are specified in Luke 24:48-49; Acts 1:4,5,8; 1Corinthians 12:7-11.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...
