TOPIC:  LEADING OTHERS IN PRAISE AND WORSHIP OF GOD Friday October 11
TEXT: Psalm 26: 1-8
KEY VERSE: Psalm 95:1. O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
God is a holy God. The seraphims shout His holiness about His throne. Those who come to the altar or His presence to lead others in His praise, thanksgiving and worship, in singing, playing of musical instruments or in the ministry of the word must be holy. Hence qualification is required of those who lead in songs and play the musical instrument in the house of God. They need to obtain a righteous heart from God through faith on the Lord Jesus Christ. They must confess every known sin and earnestly ask for God's forgiveness and cleansing. They must not harbour grudge against anyone in their hearts, but should forgive those that offend them. If anyone has a grudge against them or is offended by them, they must humbly and righteously settle the difference according to the scripture. Their outward clothing must be according to scriptural pattern. Their hairdo must not be according to worldly fashion. They must not put on abominable clothes. They must avoid make- up and every kind of evil adornment. They must possess the spirit of humility, sing and play in holiness, and do all things to the glory of God.
The members of the choir and music ministry must maintain holiness in the absence of the congregation when they are practising as well as before the congregation when they are performing. The leader of praise worship must be motivated and be ready to motivate the people to praise and worship God. He must select appropriate songs and testimonies that will open the eyes of the people to see the glory of the Lord and be stirred to offer praise and worship to Him. His demonstrations and actions should be holy, in wisdom and understanding. Those who play the instruments should play skilfully in the spirit of praise and worship of the Almighty God.
Let us listen to the psalmists as they present the spiritual qualification of those that can come to the altar to lead others in praise and worship; the psalmists also show how the congregation can be motivated or inspired to praise the Lord.
Praise or thanksgiving becomes an abominable sacrifice to God when those who lead in songs and play the musical instruments are sinners and worldly. When people who reject the truth of God's word take over the singing and playing of instruments in praise and worship of God, their sacrifice is that of fools and they do not know that they are doing evil. The minister in charge of the church of Christ, who must be holy himself, must not assign the leading of songs or playing of the holy instruments of worship to anyone who is not born again and is completely subject to the word of righteousness.
Thought for the day: The members of the choir and music ministry must maintain holiness
Song for the day: Oh that men would praise the Lord
Bible reading for the day:

Signs And Wonders Should Be According To Biblical Pattern

God's blessings shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Signs And Wonders Should Be According To Biblical Pattern Text: Mark 16: 17 – 20 Wednesday May 8th Key verse: Obadiah 17 “Upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” God has prepared to direct us on holy service unto Himself. He tells us when the lives and services of people are corrupt because from the heart of men proceed the works they do. When people are righteous and holy, their service is also righteous and holy. Hence, the word says, make the people holy then their service will be holy, so if you accept to live a life of holiness, then the fruit of your service will be holy. So, it is very important to accept the life of holiness because the God that made you is holy; He will give you grace to be holy. You just make up your mind to be holy. Do not accept that no man can be holy; then Jesus came for nothing, Jes...
REMAIN BLESSED AS YOU TAKE YOUR TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD AMEN. PRAY CONSTANTLY                                                                      FRIDAY 11 MARCH TEXT: Luke 18: 1-7 Key verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Pray without ceasing. I wish My children, whilst upon earth, to live more and more with Me in “the heavenly places”. Here, there is no fear or hurry or fret of spirit. I am gratified when you wait upon Me –which waiting I always honour. My thoughts, as you wait upon Me, are impressed upon you: all that I am must be increasingly absorbed by you. It is as you wait upon Me that I give to you that sense of calm assurance which you must carry about with you always. It comes from knowing that everything you have committed to Me is being surely worked out. Yes, immerse yourself in Me –and do ...
