ETERNAL REWARD FOR HOLY AND FAITHFUL PREACHERS MONDAY MARCH 5
TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 2:1-9
Key Verse: “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:5
We shall consider the account about the experiences of a missionary who spent 40 years in Africa and lost his wife in the course of service in the mission field. When he was returning to his country as an old man, he boarded a ship to America which also had an Army General on board. As they approached the shore, he saw crowds of people waiting for the passengers and he thought they came to welcome him for the service he dedicated the whole of his life to do. But quite unfortunately it was not so. The General went down before him and by the time he came out, all the people had gone with the General! The crowd actually came for their hero, the army General. He was overwhelmed. He did not even know where to go as he did not have any house of his own. Meanwhile he had left home over fourty years ago.
However he remembered a friend’s number and called the friend who came with his wife and offered him a space in their apartment. They tried to cheer him up and ushered him into a room, saying, you are welcome, please feel free to stay here with us. When he got into the room, he fell down on his face before God and cried. God! Is this how I am welcomed home? Do You recognize my travails, pains and bereavement at all? How is it that a sinner that spent only two weeks in Africa receives such warm welcome and Your servant that lived for fourty years in Africa receives this type of welcome? As he cried in great sorrow, he heard the voice of God speaking to him audibly. My son you have not yet come home, when you come to heaven, you will see the welcome waiting for you and what has been prepared for you. This brought great comfort and consolation to him. He then became peaceful and glorified God for his predicament.
John 14:1-3 “1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” Our place of reward is in heaven. God has decided to reward us for righteous and holy service we have rendered onto him. You are considered special by God who had chosen you out of the so many men and women in the world. As a bride groom who has decided to take a bride to himself and all that he has belong to the bride. All that our God has is for us and we will partake in His great treasure.
Thought for the day: God did not call the sons of Jacob to serve Him in vain.
Song for the day: I have a beautiful home in heaven, beautiful home, home
Bible reading for the day:
Numbers 34-36; Mark 32-52

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
