NEVER ADOPT THE METHOD OF SINNERS IN THE WORLD FRIDAY MARCH 2
TEXT: 2 Samuel 13: 1-7
Key Verse: “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 16:25
Never adopt the manner of sinners in the world: that date for beauty and start with boyfriend and girlfriend; propose to many at a time; disappoint and abandon a proposed one anyhow and go for another one; that demand for sex for a proof of love; or boast about a proposed person. These are the things they do in the world. Don’t do so, it is heart breaking. This is holiness. The Bible says we should be sure. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour. It is a fulfilment of the law. Why do you want to break the heart of somebody? Do you have clear proof that the leadership can judge along with you and justify you? Why will you hold this lady here, and another lady there, and another lady there, and you are promising them marriage? You are a liar! You are not a child of God because no liar has any part in the kingdom of God. Why must you be dating two people? Let your yea be yea, let your nay be nay, and don’t say yea yea until you are convinced. Don’t say nay until you are truly convinced. So be very careful not to break people’s hearts. From one man you go and break another man’s heart. It may be these agents that have been hired to operate in the Church. They are not ready for marriage. No! They are just coming to cause confusion. This person will say, “I want to marry you”, “Yes, I am ready”. After a little while she dumps that one and moves to another person. Just to cause confusion in the Church, that’s the job she was employed to do, and they are paying her salary from somewhere and are busy promoting her. “How many people have you disengaged”? she has broken the hearts of five people already! But for children of God, be careful, be diligent. Don’t do that. Neither should you give sex for marriage. Then the marriage pattern is not from God. If you thought the person that proposed to you was from God and actually you have given an answer, but now he is demanding for sex, this is evidence to you that your eternal life is in jeopardy. If you compromise and later appear in hell fire, the Lord will say, “I gave you a sign. Didn’t you see the sign”? So it is you that carried yourself to hell. Some years ago, a minister of the gospel came to preach in the University and he started prophesying. One of these prophecies concerned me. He also gave prophecies concerning others. To one of them he said, “There is a man here, you have a lady you want to marry but the Lord wants me to tell you that lady is not My will for you. Why? You were talking to her about the need for baptism in the Holy Ghost and she rejected vehemently. Did you notice how she was resisting it? That’s a sign to you that she is not of Me”.
