RUTH: BIBLICAL EXAMPLE OF A VIRTUOUS WOMAN MONDAY MARCH 12
TEXT: RUTH 1: 7-19
Key verse: “And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:” Ruth 1: 16
There are many accounts of virtuous women in the scriptures. But in this study we shall consider the life of Ruth and study the virtuous qualities of her life: (a). She cleaved to the God of Israel and forsook the gods of her people. She loved God and received a new heart from Him. The love she exhibited for God and those around her showed clearly that she was born again. Ruth 2:12. (b). She sought fellowship with the righteous and never allowed the sweetly godly fellowship to cease for a moment. (c). She forsook material things in worship and commitment to God. These include the following; Idols of her land; her friendship with Orpah; the possibility of getting married; The possibility of having children; Union with her family members. (d). She was impressively humble in her speech and actions. She was really ornamented with a meek and quiet spirit, which before God was of great delight (e). She was pure and holy in her relationship with all the people to the point that the whole city knew about her. Ruth 3:11. (f). She was selfless, industrious and caring. She laboured to feed and care for her mother in-law. She never sat at home idle, but sought for work and gave herself to hard work to take care of herself and her mother in-law. (g). When the issue of marriage to Boaz came in, she treated it with all purity.
Ruth was rewarded by God for her commitment to righteousness and holiness. She was truly a virtuous woman according to the scripture. The people around her called her virtuous because of the character she exhibited. Naomi, Boaz and the people around her praised her for her virtuous character. She obtained favour in the sight of God and men and was fully rewarded. She got married according to God's gracious work in her life and her marriage was to a highly favoured man called Boaz. Ruth who did not give birth in her first marriage was now blessed with a child who became one of the great men in Israel by name Obed. Her commitment and holiness brought her into the genealogy of Jesus as one of the great grandmothers of Jesus on earth! Know that there is great reward for holding fast to your faith in Christ and for righteous and holy living in this world. Great rewards await you on earth and in heaven if you continue steadfastly to the end despite temptations and trials on your way.
Thought for the day: Ruth was rewarded by God for her commitment to righteousness and holiness
Song for the day: Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised

Every Word Of God For Daily Living For taking your time to study remain blessed July Tuesday 9th TOPIC: WE ARE IN THE TWILIGHT HOUR OF RAPTURE TEXT: Ephesians 5:26-27 KEY VERSE: Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Seeing the traces of the features of the next dispensation in this present dispensation, you should know that you are in the twilight hour. What is a twilight hour? A twilight hour is that hour of the day that you begin to see the traces of the night while it is still daylight (probably 7:00pm to 7:30pm). It is not completely dark, yet it is not complete bright either. While it is still day, you are seeing the traces of the night. A twilight hour is the hour when you are still in this dispensation but you are already seeing traces of the next. The twilight hour is the time that our Lord Jesus Christ was born and even though He came with the New Test...
